*Accepting New Clients*

  • I believe that one of the most important aspects of productive counseling is to build a strong relationship between the client and the counselor. I strive to create a safe and healthy environment for the client to explore any issues they may be facing in their life and for the client to feel like they have an empathetic counselor assisting them in facing their problems.

  • I have been practicing for 4 years and have extensive experience in working with adolescents, young adults, LGBTQ+ individuals, couples, and families. I help clients with issues such as depression, anxiety, personality disorders, addiction, anger management, family conflict, communication, and behavioral concerns with primary focuses in working with men struggling with emotional distress, anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationships.

I use an integrative approach using various counseling styles including Solution Focused Therapy, CBT, DBT, Person-Centered, and Trauma Focused Therapy.

*Accepting New Clients*

  • Empathy is one of our greatest tools to help others through their struggles, and I believe that in counseling it is vital to show clients that they are understood and not alone in what they are going through. I see counseling as not only an opportunity to learn how to better oneself, but also a place where you can unload your burdens and feel heard.

I am passionate about helping clients learn new ways to approach their problems and understand where they come from in the first place. It is important to come into counseling with an open mind and a willingness to try new ways to problem solve. If the things we are already doing were working for us, then we wouldn't feel a need for change right?

  • I am trained in and have experience working with clients struggling with addiction, anxiety, depression, grief, and trauma. I practice ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy) which takes a different route than other types of therapy to help clients learn what causes their struggles and how they can better deal with adversity. I use it to help clients learn to accept the things in their life that they cannot control and to focus on actually living their lives instead of letting their thoughts live it for them. I also employ techniques and strategies from CBT and DBT with clients that require a different approach to their mental health.

I generally work with clients 16+, and offer both in person and telehealth sessions. I have also worked with many clients struggling with ADHD (something I am diagnosed with myself) and adults with Autism, to help them learn more about their disorder and how to adapt to them so they can live a fulfilling life. From my background working with substance abuse I also have agood deal of experience helping clients navigate other issues that can impact mental healthsuch as career satisfaction, budgeting, and physical health.
